I have absolutely no idea IF and HOW I can play skirmishes against the AI in LotV while offline. The internet in campus is port-blocked (fml, I know) and while Bnet was alive for about 1.5 months, now it is blocked too.
I was hoping that I could play LotV vs AI just to hone my skills with the new units and setup, but seemingly I can't?
I changed expansion levels backwards to those that I knew I could, but that did nothing.
Is it impossible to play offline?
After finding out about his force-sensitivity while still killing Jedi, he tries to repress it and this leads him to Peragus II, becoming a lowly miner to avoid the Jedi purge currently sweeping the galaxy. As he and the Exile grow closer, Atton is taught the ways of the force and becomes one of the so-called “Lost Jedi', helping to rebuild the Jedi Order after the events of Malachor V. Kotor 2 nar shaddaa side quests.
(Note: I finished the campaign online and played online, so I don't need to register my copy)

Can someone please help me..i'm busy with the campaign..and just would like the option to play skirmish/custom offline games against AI. When choosing 'versus AI', it displays that no content was found, and the create game button is disabled, please I need help
It works for me. After choosing 'versus AI', I get a long list of Blizzard made maps. (I installed from the DVD of the German retail version.)
After a few seconds there should be a list of available maps to choose from.
when i first installed it i couldbt plaay any games against the ai because it said it was downloading the maps or something (my internet is slow) so just stay online for a while and wait for everything to finish up
I have exactly the same problem - 'Versus AI' does not show any maps and the 'Create Game' button is disabled. In addition, 'Continue Campaign' and 'Play Tutorials' is disabled on the Home page, but I can continue the campaign without a problem on the Single Player page. Challenges also work fine. In Multiplayer, 'Create a Game' lists all the maps but in that page, 'Create Game' is disabled. When you hover over the disabled 'Create Game' button it generally shows the message 'Not available while downloading' though nothing appears to be downloading; occasionally it shows a message like 'Not available while joining a lobby' but I'm not sure what triggers that (and it's only happened two or three times). Twice now, I've seen a downloading box appear with a % counter, but the counter has never reached 100% without stalling. Also, I sometimes randomly get a pop-up saying 'Download Failed: There was a problem downloading this content. Please try again later.' Finally, I copied my whole Starcraft II folder onto another machine. Single Player Versus AI and Multiplayer worked fine immediately on that machine. Unfortunately it's at my work so not generally available for playing Starcraft :(
Theos, I have the same problem/errors
For me, it takes about 30 seconds for the map list to appear, which is a crazy long time considering everything else in the game loads really quickly.

Both Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm are 20 USD on Amazon right now, and I'm thinking about it.
I've played the Terran campaign only in the original Starcraft, and enjoyed it a decent amount, but found it challenging near the end as I'm pretty awful/casually interested in RTS games.
Are either of these decent buys purely for the single player? I'll probably never be interested in multiplayer. Should I buy Heart over Wings for some reason?
